This past Saturday morning, around 250 to 300 women and supporters came out to march in protest and support. There was a safe and lively feeling on Colfax from Clarkson to the capital building as masked people wielded signs protesting the filling of Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat and crying out no on Proposition 115. No cops were called or fights.
‘It is my most fervent wish that I not be replaced until a new President is installed,’ was one of RBG’s final requests before she departed on September 18th, 2020. She knew her untimely death would place the Supreme court in a dangerously biased position under our current POTUS. Of course, her request was ignored and her vacant position used to scare millions of Americans.
If you haven’t voted yet, I’m sure you’re feeling the pressure from every angle as the date approaches. Please consider more than yourself as you cast your ballot. Consider voting no on Prop 115 to keep more rights to the women that want and need them.
