Introducing Envision:You, Denver’s grassroots nonprofit that’s been making a difference in Denver’s mental health landscape since 2018. With a dedicated ethos and a lot of compassion, they’re committed to making mental wellness trendy and approachable while empowering mental health care providers across Denver. They are apart of the community, making a difference for LGBTQ+ Mental Health in Denver.
We spoke with Brynne Pop, Envision: You’s Development Manager about their goals and methods. With a deep love for nature and a passion for community support, she’s always eager to lend a helping hand. When she’s not exploring the great outdoors or grooving to some tunes, you’ll find her dreaming about owning her own herbal medicinal shop someday.
What is Envision: You?
Envision:You is a Denver-based nonprofit organization that was founded in 2018. Our mission is to improve LGBTQ+ mental health through co-created community programs, advocacy engagement, public awareness campaigns and evidence-based training. It is a small but mighty nonprofit! Their approach is two pronged. They train behavioral healthcare providers and clinicians to practice safe affirming care while also creating free workshops for parents and other trusted adults in queer youths’ lives.
“We train healthcare providers to practice safe, affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients, employees, etc. We advocate for LGBTQ+ people to have a seat at the table when talking about mental health. We show up in community to share resources, information and help. We engage with parents, coaches, caregivers of queer or questioning youth to give them to the tools and resources they need to help affirm the young people in their lives and help keep them safe.”
