Business Information
I was inspired to pursue the real estate profession through my experience in saving a historic Denver home from demolition, registering it as a landmark, and restoring my City Park West home by blending historic details with modern needs. Where I see the deficit in the real estate profession is in the lack of hands-on knowledge on what it takes to sister a joist, rehang a sash window, or re-tile a bathroom. Purchasing or selling a home is likely your biggest asset you own. I understand the importance of how a home functions as a machine and also share strategies on how you can leverage that investment to get 6 figure returns by buying the right home in the right place or making smart improvements prior to listing a home to get on average an additional 6-12% on your sales price.
I have over a 20-year background in construction that started with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison in Landscape Architecture with an emphasis in Urban Planning and Architectural History. I then moved to Boston where I worked as a carpenter focused on high-end condo remodels in downtown Boston before falling into a career in commercial construction project management and life safety engineering. Eventually, I came to my senses and moved to Denver over 15 years ago.
All the while in my personal life I have been focused on buying diamonds in the rough and restoring/preserving them for future generations.
The ability to truly listen paired with a diverse knowledge base are great assets in finding the right home match for you.
